Joseph Mattingly

Joseph Mattingly leads the Indian Artifact Grading Authority (IAGA), bringing more than 30 years of experience studying and evaluating Native American artifacts. His background includes academic training in Fine Arts and Physical Anthropology, along with experience in authentication methodology and museum curation and collection work. Over the years, Joseph has examined a large number of authentic artifacts, applying scientific observation and comparative analysis to each evaluation. Through IAGA, he provides authentication, grading, and appraisal services intended to help collectors better understand the condition and characteristics of their artifacts. His long-standing involvement in the field has made him a recognized resource among collectors seeking structured, experience-based artifact evaluations.
